Volunteering

Volunteering

VAS is dependent upon partnerships with the community. Parents and students are encouraged to participate in the School Site Council and English Learners Advisory Council which meets 5 times during the school year.  School programs, policies and other issues are discussed and elected members hold voting rights.  Interested parents and students, please contact us at

626-933-3400.

In the interest of building a connection between school and industry, Valley is constantly exploring avenues towards Career Pathways. A topic of interest is the opportunity for our students to intern or job shadow in the community.  Anyone interested in exploring this option with our students, please call Joaquin Martinez, our principal, at 626-933-3400.

Traditionally our students participate in fundraisers such as Canned Food Drive, Toys for Tots, Red Cross Disaster Relief and Leukemia and Lymphoma Research. Students who volunteer their services in the community, (ex. hospital, library, church, elementary schools, park and recreation), can earn elective credits by doing so.

During Back to School Nights / Open House, members of the community are invited to share their resources to our parents and students. Representatives from local colleges and trade schools, Adult Education, Regional Occupational Program and health services are just some of the guests who may join us on these special events.

If you are interested in forming a partnership with Valley, making donations, or if you are in need of student volunteers, please call the school at 626-933-3400.

Valley wants to be part of your community!
